Opening Times
Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 18:30
Morning Session – 08:00 to 12:00
Afternoon Session – 14:00 to 18:30
Closed Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays
Medication collections are between 14.00 – 18.30 each day. Please allow 2 working days for your medication request to be processed.
The Dispensary telephone is open from 11:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. The Dispensary is not open at weekends.
Please note that the surgery is closed from 12:30 – 13:30 but the telephone line is still open during this time, with the exception of the dispensary telephone which is open from 11:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00.
We are a dispensing practice which means that if you live more than one mile from a chemist, we can dispense your medication for you. In general, this will mean you will live in one of the surrounding villages. If you are a temporary resident, we can also dispense for you.
Please note we now have a collection point at Great Horkesley Village Store and also a home delivery service for housebound patient

Prescriptions
Are you entitled to free Prescriptions? For further information ask your GP, Pharmacy or visit www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk
You can now order your repeat prescriptions –
- Online – You can order your regular medication online, if you have not already done so, you will need to go to Reception with photographic ID to obtain a Username and Password. Once you have this, you can access our Online Appointments/Prescriptions.
- By post – If you wish us to post your prescription, please attach a stamped, addressed envelope.
- By fax – 01206 228309
- In person – Place your medication request in the black ‘Repeat Prescriptions’ box at the surgery
In the interests of accuracy and safety we do not accept requests over the telephone.
If you are on long term treatment, the doctor may agree to supply some of your repeat prescriptions without seeing you. If you have multiple sheets, please ensure they are attached together.
Please allow two working days for the preparation and signing of your prescription before collecting either the prescription or your medicine.
Electronic Prescription Service
We are able to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. You can complete our online form to register your consent for this or your pharmacy should also be able to sign patients up to this system.
Dispensers are also trained to check that patients are able to take their medicines efficiently and reduce waste. For further details, please speak to the dispenser.
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from [go live date]
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
You will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now.
